Went last week tuesday with salman... had to pay $10 for admission... but i think its worth it... got to sit in expensive cars, see stunt show and take photos of and with the pretty models.. :P

New flat...

went to my new flat in sengkang recently...

a bit of background... we( my parents) applied for the new flat 3 yrs ago... was told dat will only be ready in 2007, next yr. so ok. we take. den dunno wad happen, HDB says its ready this yr. so in jan, they send letter come tell us to take. we dun want, cos they said was only ready in next yr. so is their problem.

den delay delay until now, HDB fed-up. tell us if we dun take in nov, they cancel the flat and forfeit the 10% deposit (abt $17,500). so we took the keys and happily go and open the new house door...

a lot of rituals, must pray, roll orange and pineapple. den go in the house is quite well done... floor, windows and toilet all done up. but damn dirty. ended up we wear shoe in.

so now, nearly 1 mth after the contractors were let loose on the flat... this is wad they managed as of last wednesday...
















window grilles were up, 1/3 the height of the windows. cos got a platform (not shown) dat is 6 inches high. so if stand on it, more than half of the body is higher than the window, so may fall out easily.

















wall was painted... this is the dinning area, just outside my sister's room... is painted red...

the sliding window dat we install for the service balcony... initially don have one. many people also din install... but cos going to have washing machine and the water there, we decided to install it... the clothes on it do not belong to any of us...

i went to the house yesterday... big changes... the kitchen and hall all 3/4 done... den the wooden floor was sanded and lacquered. very nice... shinny shinny like dat. if i'm not wrong, by monday, the rooms should be fitted out and renovations shd be 90% done le...

okay... so now's the holidays and as usual... is a over 1 mth post...

i got advanced!!! heng ah! din get kicked out... but as usual, got conditions one. must attend holiday remedial lessons for 2 weeks... the longest day is from 8 -- 5 pm with a 1 hr lunch break from 12 -- 1 pm!!! damn long la. is even longer than the normal sch day. @#$!@!%# no choice. if wanna carry on, must continue. but heh... i got skip a few lessons. 1 maths, 1 econs and 2 physics. all got reasons one. Maths was because of CCA, econs was because i got bad flu, physics was because i had to go collect race pack and cos i overslept.

the teachers are ok la, though not from our sch. so they have no reason to give us good reports if we dun deserve it.

pw pw pw!!!

the exams are long over le... and i haven posted for a long time...

anyway... from wad info i have, i've secured 2 ao passes. GP and MT... abt the rest, i dun dare to harbour much hope.. i may yet make it. den again, i may not.

wad i've been doing these 2 weeks and will be doing for the next 2 weeks is to fully enjoy sch life. i may not get to experience 'college' life again if i'm kicked out of sch. pretty dark thoughts, these...

the teachers have mentioned dat it would be good for those who don't make it to come back to sch and see the pw through to its end... it would be easy to say dat i'll definitely be back.

however, i've come to the decision that if i really am kicked out, i'll come back and finish the project. after all, this project is modeled after my PI. this represents the confidence that the group has in me and the idea. i can sort of feel the weight of 4 other pw certs on me, in addition to my own. this is quite a bit of pressure to lead and to excel. and since i'm the leader, i have the duty to see the pw to its end. so, i won't leave the grp behind no matter wad the verdict. For Honour and for Glory...

now we are fully immersed in the pw written report and insights and reflection. just handed in the 1st draft of the I & R on friday. now doing the 3rd draft of the wr. the actual copy is due on this friday!!!! where got time!!!??

i really hope that everyone can do well for this project... we have put in much sweat and blood. now that the end is really near, we should all do our best for the project.

last week, we had a class chalet for 1 day at downtown east... b4 that, we had to buy the food and book the chalets... i had went to ntuc to recce the costs of everything. from the coals to the prawns. total estimated cost wad about $200. in the end, we had 150 sticks of satay from citisatay, fried rice from dunno where, most of the foods and equipment from sheng siong, chicken chops and utensils from shawn's mother. my parents bought the prawns and sotong from the market.

we had pooled all the stuff at shawn's place. and me, shawn and salman took a cab to downtown east from shawn's place at our own cost. (class fund no $$$, so can't claim. alternative would have been to take bus. )

we arrived and had to struggle with the stuff to the chalet. so damn far. ronald, laura, jai din even bother to help. somemore call us to faster setup, so that they can eat. idiots. go take 1 fried rice only like very big lidat. the 3 of us were carrying wad it would normally take at least 5 people to carry. ingrates!

had brought my camera along with high hopes... along with spare batts and another 1 GB card. thought could take a shit load of pictures for memories. but apparently some people din like me taking pictures. who like to take you!!??? you just happened to be in my pciture, that's all!! knnbccb. totally ruined my mood for taking pictures. ended up walking here and there with the camera slung on my shoulders. like a rifle with ammo, but no trigger. get my drift!? fuck.

when the bulk of the people came, it was nearly dark. den everyone started requesting for food.. like the food will cook itself lidat... DIY lor. ate quite abit by then le. so took a break and went up to play ps and rest. not long after, the bulk of the ppl went off. only left abt 11 of us.

we ( me, salman, shawn and fattish) went down to take a walk along the chalet premises. den we bought sprite ice and 4 cans of red bull as a stimulant to last us through the night. the drink was quite good... the chicken chops dat shawn's mother had prepared was stashed in the fridge upstairs. we brought them down, added more coals to revive the grill and started on the wings, some left over satay, sotong and hot dogs. after those were done, we flame grilled the chicken chops.

the first 2 was original, then honey glazed, then got lemon juice, den chilli, den satay sauce. absolutely wonderful... flamed grilled. the favour and juice was all stuck in the chicken. we ate with our hands. den we went up to wash up. apparently, ronald the gang were not in. so we took a shower one by one and left again for another walk. this time to the beach.

we stopped by the cheers and bought 7-up ice and another 4 cans of redbull. the drink was not so nice this time. sweeter. after that, we went back to the room. Ck opened the door for us and we found the entire room full of sleeping ppl... knnbccb. couldn't even stay there. den we loiter around and walk here walk there. sing stupid songs...

we went back to the grill area at abt 7 plus am. there, we set fire to everything and anything that would burn. fire starters, matches, paper plates, tissue paper... everything. i think we contributed quite significantly to the haze dat morning.

by then, the 4 of us were dead tired... keep wanna fall asleep. at 8, we figured that they had had enough sleep and went to qiao men. we entered and proceeded to play ps. heck! they can wake up for all i care. after a long long time for them all to wake up, they did. and i could take my shower. packed up and den went to check out. had a breakfast at mcdonalds' and den went to play arcade.

we then took the train to douby gourt and go play lan. for abt 2 hrs, we played generals, battelfield, cs, need for speed. if not for the fact that we were all tired and broke, i think we could have stayed on even longer.

by the time i got home, i took a bath and went to sleep. woke up at 9+ and discovered that the dinner was over. was supposed to have steamboat dinner with the family. but too tired le. apparently, i couldn't be woken up... haiz. it was siao la. 1 whole night never sleep...

i dun think i'll post any pictures of the chalet/bbq... nothing to interesting to post anyway...
